Boarding Kennels — A Home From Home for Your Best Friend
Oaklands is a small, family-run boarding kennels in the countryside just outside Stafford. Since 2013 we’ve looked after countless dogs from families right across the local area, and our philosophy hasn’t changed since day one — every dog that stays with us is treated as one of our own.
We’re not an industrial boarding operation. Run by Emma and her family, we’re hands-on, hometown kennels where dogs aren’t just numbers. Every guest gets the time, attention and routine they need to settle in and feel at home. We take the time to learn each dog’s quirks, their feeding routine and the little things that make them comfortable, so even nervous first-timers relax into their stay.
What’s included in every stay
Every dog that boards with us enjoys spacious, heated individual kennels, multiple walks each day, and feeding to your own routine so nothing about their day-to-day changes. We’ll also send photo updates while you’re away, so you can see for yourself that they’re happy, settled and having a good time.

Safe hands, always
As a local-authority licensed kennels, we’re fully insured and recommended by vets across the area. Vaccinations are checked on every arrival, our staff are trained in canine first aid, and we have a vet on call for any moment we might need one — so you can head off knowing your dog is in genuinely safe hands.
Every dog is welcome
Whether your dog is a confident regular, a nervous rescue or a senior who needs a little extra care, we welcome dogs of every shape, size and temperament. If your dog has particular needs, just let us know when you book and we’ll make sure they’re looked after exactly as they would be at home.

Boarding Prices
All of our prices include two exercise sessions per day, food, bedding, heating, administering of medication, insurance and VAT — so there are no hidden extras.
Drop-off & Collection
Our kennels are charged at a nightly rate. This includes dropping your dog(s) off between 3:00pm and 5:30pm (until 4:30pm on weekends and Bank Holidays) and collecting them on the day of departure between 8:30am and 10:00am.
Prefer an AM drop-off (8:30am–10:00am) or a PM pick-up (3:00pm–5:30pm, 4:30pm weekends and Bank Holidays)? We can usually accommodate this for an extra half-day charge. Please note this cannot be facilitated between 1st July and 30th September.
We recommend planning your journey around our drop-off and collection times. We’re unable to hold your dog at peak times if you’re caught in traffic or delayed by a flight, so if you don’t have someone who can collect on your behalf should that happen, please always book the AM slot for the day after your arrival.
Christmas Rates
Our prices change over the Christmas period: 24th–26th December: an extra £20 per night on top of our usual rates. 27th December–1st January: an extra £10 per night on top of our usual rates.
Deposit
A non-refundable, non-transferable 50% deposit is required from all customers at the time of booking. This can be paid over the phone, online, or via bank transfer.

You’ll find us in the countryside just outside Stafford. Pop the postcode into your sat nav or Google Maps and it’ll bring you right to the door, with plenty of on-site parking when you arrive.

Collection & Delivery
Can’t make it to us? We offer a collection and delivery service for your dog — a minimum £5.00 charge, then £1.30 per mile.
